Creating good investment choices for all employees.
Our investment program for 401(k) and 403(b) plans is centered on managing fiduciary risk and promoting great participant investment decisions. We accept the highest level of fiduciary responsibility for investments by working most often as an ERISA 3(38) investment manager. We sometimes also work as a 3(21) co-fiduciary investment manager. This responsibility includes the drafting of an Investment Policy Statement, selection and monitoring of the investment menu, and the management of risk-based investment models from which participants select. GBB fiduciaries have no financial interest in recommending one investment over another.
Our retirement plan investment consulting is different because we design our offerings around helping participants make great investment decisions. Participants have the option to choose from menus featuring "Do it for me," "Help me," or "I can do this on my own" solutions. Our investment consulting often places many participant dollars in professionally managed portfolios, the "Do it for me" option, because that’s what most participants want. For participants who fall into the "Help me" category, GBB can work directly with participants and advise them on an appropriate investment strategy, whether using one of GBB's asset allocation strategies or creating a custom approach.
